This German book was given to me by a crazy Uncle who ran a carpentry shop. He had a vast assortment of historic relics in a barn behind his shop. The main item I can recall in his possession was a Cannon from the early 1800’s. The book is in semi-decent condition. The binding is torn on its side and some of pages are crumbling as well as being tinted brown with age. It has pencil notes on some of the pages. The book was published in 1880 by New York G.P. Putnam’s Sons. I’ve looked it up online but I can’t come across what its value would be. I’m thinking about getting it appraised soon.
Went to an appraiser and it turns out the book is only worth $11, which subsequently can get me an ounce of crack on the street. Just enough to support my habit for 3 hours.
